Introduction to Canadian Professiona Boxing:

* There are various sources to Canadian Professiona
boxing, but this will be an attempt to look at it
through another set of eyes with no attempt
to rate all of the active boxers, but it will be 
necessary to touch base on some of the
Canadian or International champions which will
also consider some of the top amateur boxers of
which some will turn to professional boxing.

  THE AMATEUR DAYS:

Be it a Jean Pascal, Paul "P-mac" MacKenzie

or a Joey Laviolette, their boxing stories would

not be complete without some reference about

their amateur days and nights.  Be it in

Montreal, Edmonton, the province of 

Nova Scotia.  Each one and the rest of the

Canadian professional boxers made a 

contribution to the sport of amateur boxing

which is the real lifeblood of the sport.

THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RING WARS:

The sport of professional boxing in Canada does not just happen.

In the ring corner, or the gym or behind the curtain of the stage 

are many dedicated trainers, managers, promoters,  officials, 

and news media types that keep the action flowing be it Montreal,

Edmonton or even Greater Vancouver and many other places.

This blog will attempt to include many of those non-boxers in the

ongoing story.

Some of the names that keep the action or the news moving:
Yvon Michel, Eric de Guzman, John Mendonca, Ace Freeman,
G. M. Ross, Dave Spencer, Chris Johnson, Tyler Buxton
Darell Wambolt and Darren Hauck. 

The Road Ahead for Canadian Professional Boxing

There is no telling how this introduction will proceed into new

posts.  But, it will depend on the old economics rule of thumb

"Supply and Demand".  The supply will be based on what

those in the sport do,  but the demand  will be based on what

others want to read.  Therefore, unlike other blogs and stories

it will be based on head counts of how many views this page

receives.  A logical minimum point should be 100 views before

we move forward.  But, for the international reach anything
less than a 1,000 spells FAILURE and will KILL the ongoing
story.  Thus, the future, like professional boxing itself, will
depend on the cruel hard world of ECONOMICS and MARKETING.

As we move beyond this first post, there will be attempt to follow
the stories of some of the active professional boxer.
